Utility Mobile Fleet Mechanic - GMS
Number of positions: 1 Job Location: GM Shrum Gen Station

Hourly Rate: $ 55.95
What you'll do
- A Utility Mobile Fleet Mechanic normally works alone in regions where travel is regularly required. A Utility Mobile Fleet
Mechanic repairs, maintains, modifies and commissions vehicles and equipment, including aerial devices. In addition,
duties and responsibilities shall include using telematics to proactively manage maintenance, work order creation,
scheduling, ordering parts/materials and coordination maintenance and repair of vehicles within their region, including
working with user groups and vendors.
- Must be a red seal certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, and/or Truck and Transport Mechanic. Utility Mobile Fleet
Mechanics will be provided Utility Fleet Mechanic (UFM) training and become UFM certified. Utility Mobile Fleet Mechanics
will have or obtain Commercial Vehicle Inspection certification.
What you bring
- As per IBEW collective agreement.
- British Columbia Trades Qualification (BCTQ) or Interprovincial Red Seal in Commercial Transport (or Truck & Transport)
or Heavy Duty Mechanics
- A valid B.C. driver's license Class 3 with air brake endorsement or Class 3 learner's permit and Air Brake endorsement.
- BC Hydro Fleet Utility Certification or equivalent would be an asset.
- Maintenance / repair and operational experience with digger derricks, cranes, material handling aerial devices and
personnel lifts is essential.

- This location is eligible for a Remote Incentive of 20%. Remote Incentives are paid bi-weekly to Full-Time Regular
employees working in eligible remote locations.
- This location is eligible for Extended Health Care Medical Travel Benefit. The Extended Health Care Medical Travel
Benefit is extended to Full-Time Regular, Part-Time Regular and Full-Time Temporary employees who are permanently
working in eligible remote locations.
