Sales & Project Manager – Flooring Industry
North Vancouver / Metro Vancouver
Ethical Flooring is looking for an experienced Sales & Project Manager to join our team.
This is not simply a retail sales position. The role includes sales, estimating, project management, client communication, scheduling, and seeing projects through from first contact to completion.
We are looking for somebody who genuinely cares about clients and takes pride in doing projects properly. Our company has built a reputation on quality, education, and solving problems the right way — even when it means more work.
Responsibilities include:
- Meeting clients in store and in their homes
- Helping clients select flooring products based on their needs and budget
- Prequalifying projects and providing realistic budgets before site visits where possible
- Preparing estimates and closing sales
- Managing projects from sale through completion
- Scheduling and coordinating installers and materials
- Maintaining communication with clients throughout the project
- Problem solving when unexpected issues arise
- Protecting margins while maintaining company standards
- Building long term relationships that create repeat business and referrals
The ideal candidate:
- Has flooring industry experience
- Has experience in sales and closing
- Is highly organized and can manage multiple projects at once
- Is comfortable working independently
- Has strong communication skills
- Is solutions focused and calm under pressure
- Has a valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Wants a long term position with opportunity to build strong income
This role offers autonomy and the ability to build a significant income for the right person. We are not looking for somebody who simply wants to quote jobs. We are looking for somebody who wants to take ownership of projects and build long term relationships with clients.
Please submit your resume along with answers to the following questions:
- How many years of flooring industry experience do you have?
- Describe your experience estimating and managing flooring projects.
- Have you worked on commission before? If yes, explain the compensation structure.
- Approximately what annual sales volume have you managed in previous roles?
- What flooring products do you have the most experience with?
- Are you comfortable both closing sales and managing projects after the sale?
- Why are you considering leaving your current company?
- What annual income range are you seeking?
- What do you believe makes somebody successful in flooring sales and project management?
- Is there anything else we should know about your experience or strengths?
