What You'll Do
Our Parksville Home Building Centre location is looking for an energetic, motivated person to join our Service Counter team.
- Be the friendly, knowledgeable voice and face for customers greeting folks in-store, on the phone or by email, and guiding them to the right products, quotes and solutions.
- Build strong relationships: our customers range from seasoned contractors to DIY homeowners. You’ll listen, understand their vision, and make it happen.
- Help keep our showroom fresh, engaging and easy-to-use, and assist with merchandising so customers love being here.
- Get in deep with product knowledge. We’ll train you in-house, so you become the go-to subject matter expert. Plumbing and/or electrical experience would be considered an asset.
- Jump in and help the team every day. We care about doing it right.
What You Bring to the Team
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Plumbing and/or electrical knowledge would be considered an asset
- A genuine love for helping people, great communication, and the ability to ask good questions to uncover what the customer really needs
- A willingness to learn new systems (point-of-sale, inventory/quoting software) and adapt as we grow and refine how we operate
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, active environment, you’ll be part of a team that builds things (literally!) and supports one another
- A positive, team-first attitude you’ll thrive here if you like to roll up your sleeves, jump in, and be part of something growing
