TDE is searching for B Pressure Welder who will responsible for fabricating pressure equipment such as vessels and piping, according to TDE’s Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Quality Control Manual.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes but not limited to:
- Weld pressure equipment (pressure vessels and piping) in accordance with the respective ASME codes, TDE’s WPS, and QC Manual.
- Read and follow fabrication drawings.
- Inform the Foreman and/or the Supervisor of any issues or concerns with material, quality, print discrepancy, etc.
- Communicate thoughts and ideas clearly, directly, honestly and with respect for others.
- Actively participate in departmental and/or TDE annual or quarterly initiatives.
- Approach problems with a solution orientated attitude.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 + year of experience in a fabrication environment.
- Must be a Journeyman Welder.
- Must have a B or C Pressure Welding Ticket.
- Interprovincial Red Seal is considered an asset.
- Ability to weld any of the following processes:
· SMAW
· GMAW
· GTAW
· FCAW
· SAW
- Working knowledge of fabrication, manufacturing, and construction.
- Proficient knowledge of industry best practices.
- Proven ability to produce high quality work while facing competing priorities and strict deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize activities, adapt to change, and stay focused in a dynamic environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively with all levels of staff.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and discretion when working with confidential information.
