Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and installing custom cabinets and woodwork with precision and craftsmanship. This role requires a strong background in woodworking, carpentry, and construction techniques, along with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. The Cabinet Maker will play a vital role in delivering high-quality products for residential projects, ensuring customer satisfaction through meticulous work and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct cabinets and wood fixtures.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and install cabinetry using hand tools, power tools, and other woodworking equipment.
- Measure materials precisely to ensure proper fit and finish during assembly and installation.
- Perform finishing tasks such as sanding, staining, painting, or sealing to achieve desired aesthetic results.
- Collaborate with manager, designer, and client to meet specifications and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency on the job site.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.
Experience
- Proven experience in cabinetry making or woodworking is required.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Knowledge of construction techniques including framing, drywall installation, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry, roofing, siding, rebar installation, plumbing, electrical work, caulking, heavy lifting, concrete forming, restoration projects, construction estimating, siding installation, roofing systems, or manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Previous experience in carpentry or handyman roles involving various construction trades is advantageous.
