Responsibilities
- Safely demolish structures using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment, following all safety protocols.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project scope and specific demolition requirements.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, or cranes to assist with large-scale demolition tasks.
- Disassemble buildings carefully, including removing fixtures, cabinetry, flooring, tile, electrical components, plumbing systems, and masonry elements.
- Prepare sites by clearing debris and ensuring the area is ready for subsequent construction or restoration work.
- Assist with concrete forming, finishing, and restoration tasks as needed to support ongoing projects.
- Collaborate with team members to estimate project timelines and materials required for demolition activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or demolition work with knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as sledgehammers, crowbars, chisels, and caulking guns.
- Familiarity with power tools including drills, saws, grinders, and concrete cutters.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently; certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical work, plumbing, and painting is highly desirable.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in demanding environments.
- Excellent attention to detail for structural disassembly and site cleanup.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members on project progress.
