Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver (Class 5) to join our grocery distribution team. This role involves safely transporting goods to various retail locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, with experience in warehouse operations and commercial driving.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery trucks to transport grocery products to designated locations
- Load and unload goods by hand.
- Ensure accurate and complete delivery of orders, verifying quantities and receiving signatures when required
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries and vehicle logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory and preparing shipments for delivery
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, equipment operation, and driving regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries professionally and courteously
Experience
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or commercial driving preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Experience with heavy lifting and moving items safely in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and safety standards is advantageous
