Landscape Construction Lead Hand
At Red Door Landscape Services, we design and construct refined, high-craft outdoor spaces that raise the standard for landscape construction in Victoria. Our projects demand precision, teamwork, and pride in execution — and our crews take ownership of the work they build.
We’re looking for a skilled landscape construction Lead Hand — someone who takes initiative on site, builds with confidence, and supports the foreman in delivering complex, high-quality installations. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to grow into greater leadership while refining their craft.
What You’ll Do
- Work alongside the foreman to execute high-end landscape builds
- Take ownership of key installation scopes (hardscape, grading, carpentry, etc.)
- Operate equipment including mini-excavator, skid steer, compactors, and grading tools
- Assist with site layout, elevations, and plan interpretation
- Help maintain safety, pace, and organization on site
- Set a professional example in craftsmanship and jobsite standards
- Support daily tracking of time, materials, and progress
What You Bring
- Strong hands-on experience in landscape construction
- Confidence installing pavers, concrete, masonry, carpentry, or similar hardscape elements
- Ability to read plans and understand grade and layout
- Competent equipment operation skills
- Strong work ethic and pride in clean, precise installations
- Class 5 driver’s license
Note: experience with drainage, irrigation, or water features is an asset.
Why Red Door
- Build design-forward landscapes — not repetitive installs
- Work with a professional, respectful crew culture
- Clear growth path toward foreman roles
- High standards, strong systems, and supportive planning
- Wellness and safety-focused environment
- Opportunity to build your craft at a high level
