Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative / Order Picker to join our team. This role involves efficiently managing warehouse distribution tasks, including order picking, loading, unloading, and operating heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience and be familiar with warehouse management systems, heavy equipment operation, and shipping & receiving procedures. Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and prepare orders using warehouse management systems
- Load and unload goods using heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and other machinery
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with training and safety protocols
- Manage shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Conduct inventory checks and maintain accurate stock levels
- Assist with warehouse organization, including construction-related tasks if necessary
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed during heavy lifting and equipment operation
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse distribution or logistics experience preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating heavy machinery such as forklifts, cranes, or clamp trucks is advantageous
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with order picking, shipping & receiving, and load & unload operations
- Construction or construction-related experience is beneficial but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates

Pay: $21.00-$22.50 per hour
