One of our clients is looking for a Manual Lathe Machine Operator to join their manufacturing team. This is a full-time opportunity for candidates with experience operating manual lathes and working with precision measuring tools.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual lathes to machine a variety of metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Measure and inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools
- Select appropriate tooling and determine machining methods
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards
- Perform routine machine maintenance
- Keep the work area clean and organized
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating manual lathes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain high quality standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
