Responsibilities and Job Description:
- Execute menu items according to recipes and standards
- Responsible for the daily mise en place for the bistro and canapé menus
- Ensure quality, presentation and consistency within all products
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Understand, operate, and maintain kitchen equipment
- Great attention to detail and creativity
Skills, Qualities and Experience:
- Proficient in food handling techniques and knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- First Aid, WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety familiarity
Experience as a line cook in a professional kitchen environment is awesome, but we also love to teach new and inexperienced people our craft. A great attitude and a willingness to learn is the most important quality you can bring!
You must be available to work on weekends (trust us, having Mondays off is great!). A normal day will start in the morning and finish early in the afternoon or begin late morning and finish in the early evening and will be spent in a lovely, French inspired atmosphere that always smells amazing! We are proud to offer our full time team members a fully funded, comprehensive health and dental benefits program.
The entire staff (excluding owners) share equally in the tip pool which consistently adds $5-$8 per hour worked to each staff member's daily pay.
