Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RECE (Registered Early Childhood Educator) - Daycare Worker to join our team. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly in early childhood education settings, and possess a genuine passion for caregiving and teaching.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and interact with children in a daycare setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Support children with special needs or disabilities, adapting activities to meet individual requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities
- Follow all licensing regulations and safety protocols to ensure compliance and safety standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere for both children and staff
Professional Qualifications
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (required)
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR - LEVEL C (required)
- Current Immunizations (required)
- Two Step Tuberculosis Screening (required)
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Screening (required)
- Familiar with How Does Learning Happen and ELECT Documents (required)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a childcare-specific or related setting (required)
- Food Handlers Certificate (preferred)
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
