GMC Contractors is currently looking for a Project Manager who is experienced in the Oil & Gas industry to join our team in Fort Saskatchewan . If you have project management experience in the industrial oil and gas sector, excel in a fast paced environment, we want you as part of our team. You will be responsible for all aspects of project management, including, but not limited to, the management of: integration of GMC systems, procurement, scope, schedule, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, and stakeholders. The Project Manager works closely with the project team and stakeholders and maintains an excellent relationship with subcontractors and clients.
Daily Tasks/Qualifications:

Develop and manage project budgets as well as establish all contractual relationships for a project and ensure performance is consistent with those agreements
Maintain effective communications with owner(s) and key project participants (project management, financial stakeholders, local government officials, and sub-contractors) of each project
Oversee the monitoring of project costs and productions in order to ensure early recognition of negative trends such that corrective measures can be implemented ASAP
Review expected levels of documentation relating to standards for accounting issues, methodology of budget control,
Provide strong leadership to all project staff, capitalizing on individual and group strengths
Understand and ensure that all documents used are complete, protect the owner’s interest, clearly define expectations and provide incentive to perform
Attend owner/consultant meetings with respective participants weekly to completion
Set expected levels of documentation, standards for accounting issues, methodology of budget control, types of bids (fixed price, cost plus, unit price), etc
Anticipate potential objections/issues in project; prepare short/long term solutions to issues
Employment Requirements:
- Must have five years of Project Management experience, with previous construction supervision experience.
- Must be self-motivated and promote strong team building.
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry in construction.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
- Must have strong mechanical experience in either welding or pipe-fitting.
- Competent with all Microsoft Office applications.
- High level of organization and time management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and client management skills.
- Technical diploma in an appropriate construction-related field (CET), or equivalent construction experience
- PMP Certification or Project Management Training Considered an Asset
- Fabrication and Module work experience preferred.
- Represent themselves professionally with GMC staff and Clients.
