Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Car Hauler to join our transportation team. This role involves safely transporting vehicles over short and long distances, ensuring timely delivery and proper handling of each vehicle. Responsibilities
- Safely operate car hauler trucks and trailers to transport vehicles between locations
- Load and unload vehicles using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Secure vehicles properly to prevent movement during transit
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle and trailer to ensure safety standards are met
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries and vehicle condition reports
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting if necessary during transit or at delivery points
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and vehicle status
Experience
- Prior experience with commercial driving, preferably as a car hauler or in freight transportation
- Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling
- Knowledge of automotive repair or maintenance is a plus
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record
- Experience operating large trucks, trailers, and related heavy equipment is highly desirable
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, securing vehicles, and working in various weather conditions
