POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Marketing Manager provides strategic leadership for Bethesda's marketing, communications, brand, and digital presence. This role leads initiatives that support service awareness, recruitment, community engagement, and organizational growth while ensuring consistent, accessible, and values-driven communications.
Reporting to the Director, Administrative Services, the Marketing Manager supervises the Marketing Coordinator and collaborates with internal teams and external partners to deliver effective marketing and communications strategies.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and lead Bethesda's marketing and communications strategy in alignment with organizational priorities.

Collaborate with leadership to deliver strategic marketing initiatives that support service awareness, recruitment, fundraising, community engagement, and organizational growth.

Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to the Marketing and Communications Specialist while establishing effective workflows, priorities, and processes to ensure a structured, accountable, and high-performing marketing function.

Lead brand strategy, messaging, and communication standards to ensure consistent, accessible, and values-based communications.

Provide strategic oversight for major campaigns, public communications, and the effective use of communication channels.

Lead digital marketing initiatives across website, SEO, email, social media, and analytics.

Oversee website strategy, accessibility, content optimization, and vendor partnerships to improve audience engagement and online presence.

Lead email marketing strategy, audience segmentation, and CRM processes.

Ensure communications are compliant, targeted, and aligned with audience needs while supporting audience growth.

Lead marketing campaigns from strategy through evaluation, including messaging, timelines, coordination, and performance tracking.

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver effective campaigns and identify opportunities for improvement.

Track and analyze marketing metrics across digital channels, campaigns, and audience engagement.

Provide reports, insights, and recommendations to support organizational goals and continuous improvement.

Lead media relations, public messaging, and reputation management.

Support leadership communications and ensure consistent, accurate, and values-based external communications.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Journalism, or a related field.

10+ years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or digital strategy.

Demonstrated experience leading multi-channel marketing initiatives and supervising staff or projects.

Strong knowledge of: Digital Marketing, Website Strategy and SEO, E-mail marketing and social media, Analytics and reporting, Brand and reputation management, PHIPA and CASL legislation.

Strong project management, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

Experience working with senior leaders, external vendors, and community partners.

Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, developmental services, education, social services, or public-sector organizations.
French language proficiency.
