St. Patricks Home of Ottawa is currently seeking a regular full-time maintenance worker to add to our team. The right candidate will have experience in maintaining physical plant operations such as HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life-safety and security systems and all other related equipment.
Duties: Reporting to the Manager, Building Operations
- Repair and maintenance for all aspects of building operations systems and equipment such as, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life-safety and security, etc.
- Provision of audits, cleaning, inspections, labor, painting, preventative maintenance, repairs, refurbishment and testing, etc.
- Ensures compliances with Maintenance related Acts, Codes and Regulations, i.e. Building and Fire Codes, OHSA, MOHLTC, PHIPA, etc.
- Maintains accurate records and logs of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and compliance checks in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborates with external contractors and service providers, monitor work quality, and ensure all contracted services meet safety standards, specifications, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
· Certificate/ Diploma/Degree in Building Environmental Systems Operator Class 1, Building Operations, Building Sciences or Stationary Engineer 4th/5th Class or equivalent;
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in physical plant operations; maintaining HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life-safety and security systems, etc. and related equipment;
