Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining tires on a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to deliver top-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Remove and replace tires using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
- Inspect tires and wheels for damage or irregularities and recommend necessary repairs or replacements
- Perform wheel alignments and balancing to ensure optimal vehicle performance
- Conduct routine maintenance on tire equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assist customers with tire selection, sales, and related automotive services
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and productivity
- Document services performed accurately in the shop management system
- Heavy lifting of tires and wheels up to specified weight limits as required for installation or removal
Skills
- Dealership experience or mechanic background preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and maintenance
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and tire mounting equipment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of automotive systems, tire sales, and maintenance procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment under time constraints while maintaining attention to detail
