If you are interested in the idea of providing care to a person in their family home, with a focus on highly individualized care, this may be an ideal position for you. The family is looking for a PSW to provide care for their daughter/sister. We are interested in a holistic approach to support - engaging the mind, body and spirit of this woman. We are looking for someone who is seeking a permanent, long-term position.
We are highly interested in a PSW who can appreciate that the family has been supporting their daughter/sister for 30 years, and because of the care of the family, good RPNs and PSW, she has remained in good health.
You will need to be experienced in using a ceiling lift, Hoyer lift, positioning, and personal care for someone requiring full support. Comfortable with G-tube feeding, and orientation will be provided. This woman lives with an elderly parent with aging issues; her sisters are involved in their sister's care and supportive of their parents - you will have to be understanding of the struggles of aging health issues.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, diligent and positive. They will have positive energy but not be disruptive to the calmness of the house. This will be an opportunity to focus on one person and appreciate the opportunity to develop a deeper one-to-one relationship. The RPN and PSW will have the willingness to understand the importance of her family and home life, respecting the routines that have been a part of her life for years. Must comfortably use oral and written English - this is essential for reporting. The right person will be able to work well within a team and communicate effectively and positively.
PSW 12 hours per week over the dinner hour/ early evening. When hired, the family will work out with the successful candidate which evenings. It will be a set schedule.

Pay: $28.00 per hour
