Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled French Language Expert to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of linguistic nuances, interpretation, and translation between French and English. Responsibilities
- Provide accurate interpretation services between French and English in real-time settings.
- Translate written documents, ensuring cultural relevance and linguistic accuracy.
- Develop and review content for clarity, tone, and correctness in both languages.
- Utilize strong writing skills to produce high-quality reports, summaries, and correspondence.
- Support multilingual communication efforts by leveraging knowledge of Quebec Sign Language and other languages as needed.
- Maintain precise typing and transcription of spoken or written language materials.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure effective cross-cultural communication and understanding.
- Stay updated on linguistic trends, terminology, and best practices within the field of linguistics.
Experience
- Proven experience in interpretation, translation, or related linguistic roles.
- Multilingual proficiency including fluency in French and English; knowledge of Quebec Sign Language is a plus.
- Strong understanding of linguistics principles and language structure.
- Excellent writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences.
- Experience working with translation tools or software is preferred.
- Ability to type efficiently with high accuracy to support transcription tasks.
