Job description
We have exciting opportunities for experienced heavy equipment operators with minimum 5 years of local experience in using heavy equipment such as excavators and backhoes for the installation of water and wastewater pipes (sewers, watermain, process piping), valve chambers, maintenance chambers and other related municipal infrastructure within a municipal right of way in Ontario.
In these positions, you'll be constructing water and wastewater infrastructure projects, supporting the delivery of local government projects across the Greater Toronto Area, as well as working closely with our internal teams on large commercial/residential subdivision projects. You will have a key focus on successful project delivery and support the mentoring and coaching of junior staff in the team.
What will you bring?
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in operating heavy equipment for the installation water and wastewater pipes (sewers, watermain, process piping), valve chambers, maintenance chambers and other related municipal infrastructure in public right of way in Ontario (experience in pipe installation would be advantageous)
- Experience in tunnelling construction projects will be advantageous
- Up to date on relevant health and safety training and certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A team player with a positive attitude.
