Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver for last mile deliveries in Ottawa and Montreal Area. This role involves transporting packages efficiently and safely to customers’ locations, ensuring a positive delivery experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer service, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods. Prior experience with warehouse operations, commercial driving, or courier services is highly valued. Duties
- Safely operate box trucks or similar vehicles, including manual transmission models, for route driving and deliveries
- Load and unload packages using equipment
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with transportation regulations
- Deliver packages directly to customers’ residences or businesses, providing excellent customer service throughout each interaction
- Manage delivery routes efficiently, adhering to scheduled timelines and optimizing routes for efficiency
- Handle heavy lifting and moving of packages, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain signatures when required
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes
Experience
- Previous delivery driver experience preferred, especially with last-mile or courier services
- Warehouse experience, including loading/unloading and equipment operation
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency
- Customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients during deliveries
- Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmission is advantageous
- Experience with heavy lifting, moving items, and handling packages of various sizes and weights
- Valid driver’s license ( G License Required)
- Must have own Vehicle
