Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with experience in primary care, which is considered an asset.
Full-Time: Monday to Friday, 5 days per week from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Responsibilities include:
- Current knowledge and experience in IM, subcutaneous injections venipuncture, TB testing, ear syringing, liquid nitrogen therapy, diabetes assessments, pap smears, MoCA testing, immunizations, allergy shots, and Holter monitor setup (not required and will provide training but considered an asset)
- Experience with ordering medical supplies and vaccines (considered an asset)
- Experience with taking vitals and measurements
- Knowledge of techniques and sterilization processes
- Evidence of sound organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work well in stressful situations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills with the ability to work well with patients, families, and all levels of staff
- Ability to work well independently and to exercise sound judgement
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the position
Qualifications
- Current CPR Certification
- Current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse
- Professional Experience
- Working in a primary health care community-based setting is considered an asset
- Key Competencies
- Proficiency in the use of computers and various software applications. PS Telus EMR is considered an asset.
Pay: From $26.00 per hour
