Image One MRI, a private MRI clinic in Kelowna, BC, is seeking a MR technologist to join our team. Responsibilities and Duties:
· Perform MRI procedures as required including clinical and research exams.
· Ensure patient and staff safety in the MR environment according to standard practice and local policy and procedures.
· Provide exceptional care to patients including explanation of procedures, consent, communication during the MR exam and discharge instructions when necessary.
· Initiate intravenous (IV) lines and inject MR contrast (as delegated by the Medical Director).
· Input and manage data within the clinic’s information systems (EMR, PACS etc.).
· Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, physicians, other health care staff and staff of external agencies.
· Participate in quality improvement and risk management processes.
· Contribute to marketing and business development.
Qualifications:
· Graduate of an accredited Magnetic Resonance Imaging program.
· Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
· IV certification
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
