Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces to ensure a smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing finish. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques, as well as proficiency with various tools and construction methods. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration sites.
Duties
- Apply finishing techniques to concrete surfaces, including smoothing, troweling, and edging to achieve desired textures and finishes
- Install rebar and formwork according to schematics and blueprints to prepare for concrete pouring
- Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely and efficiently during the finishing process
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Perform masonry tasks such as caulking, restoration, and flooring installation as needed
- Use hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and installing concrete components
- Assist with concrete pouring, leveling, and curing processes on various construction sites
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other trades to coordinate project activities
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment, and schematics used in concrete work
- Skills in rebar installation, carpentry, masonry, welding, and flooring installation are highly desirable
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of concrete forming techniques and blueprint reading skills
- Experience with restoration projects or renovation work is a plus
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and procedures
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
