Tool & Die Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Five Star Tool & Die Limited is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in the design, development, and launch of tooling projects. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive Tool & Die design experience, and advanced proficiency with NX CAD software. This role is responsible for overseeing tool design, engineering standards, project execution, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting manufacturing operations and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Engineering Department and Tool Design team.
- Create and review 3D models, die layouts, and engineering drawings using NX CAD software.
- Coordinate new program launches, engineering changes, and customer design reviews.
- Ensure tooling designs meet customer specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.
- Collaborate with production, toolroom, quality, and program management teams to resolve technical issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on tooling performance, cost reduction, and efficiency.
- Establish and maintain engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Mentor, train, and develop engineering personnel.
- Support troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to tooling and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of Tool & Die design experience.
- Advanced proficiency with NX CAD software.
- Strong understanding of diecast tool & mould construction, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting customer deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
Pay: $85,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
