CNC Laser Nesting Programmer
Location: On-Site
Schedule: Full-Time, Days
Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Laser Nesting Programmer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical programming expertise with collaboration on the shop floor. You'll play a key role in optimizing production efficiency, supporting manufacturing operations, and ensuring high-quality output.
Responsibilities
Create, edit, and optimize CNC laser nesting programs based on engineering drawings and production requirements
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately
Maximize material utilization and improve nesting efficiency
Collaborate with production, engineering, and shop floor teams to support manufacturing processes
Troubleshoot programming and production-related issues
Maintain accurate program files, revisions, and documentation
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality
Qualifications
Previous experience as a CNC Programmer, preferably with laser nesting experience
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, materials, and manufacturing best practices
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Asset Qualifications
Experience with SolidWorks
Experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment
Familiarity with CNC laser cutting operations
