As a Leased Operator hired driver you will represent the "Co-op" brand every time you operate FCL contracted fleet trucks.
Description:We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and safety-conscious Class 1 Professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently, maintaining compliance with transportation regulations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires exceptional driving skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess a strong work ethic.
- Have a strong positive safety attitude.
- Operate Class 1 vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, long-haul trucks) safely and efficiently for local, regional, or long-distance routes.
- Transport goods in compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Always report to work fit for duty (physically, mentally, and cognitively), healthy and alcohol/substance-free
- Maintain accurate records, including but not limited to logbooks, delivery schedules, and inspection reports, as required by law.
- Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper securement of loads to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with clients, and team members regarding delivery updates and any issues.
- Adhere to all road safety laws, company standards, and industry regulations (e.g., Hours of Service rules).
- Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., checking fluid levels) and report mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 1 License, with a minimum 5-year abstract history.
- Criminal Background Check with no criminal code violations in the prior 36 months,
- Commercial Vehicle Driver's Abstract with no more than two moving vehicle offences in the past 12 months and no more than three such violations in the prior 36 months.
- No more than one DUI (Driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol) in a lifetime.
- No more than one at-fault collision in two years.
- Minimum 2 years and/or 150,000 KM of verifiable experience operating commercial vehicles.
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Pass a Driver Skill Evaluation (documented road test)

- 5-year Commercial Driver's Abstract
- A colour copy of License (both sides)
- Criminal Background Check
- Resume/Work History (verified 150,000 km and/or 2 yr. experience)
- Driver reference and experience verification
Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
