Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Coordinator

Our client, a well-established and growing construction organization, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Coordinator to become a key member of their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to play an important role supporting multiple active projects from start to finish.
You’ll work closely with project managers, vendors, and internal stakeholders while taking ownership of day-to-day accounting operations that directly contribute to the organization’s success.

What You’ll Be Doing
Accounts Receivable
- Prepare and issue progress billings tied to project milestones and contracts
- Monitor outstanding receivables and professionally manage collections
- Track holdbacks and construction-specific billing requirements
- Apply payments and reconcile customer accounts
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Accounts Payable
- Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
- Match invoices to purchase orders, contracts, and supporting documentation
- Coordinate EFT, cheque, and electronic payment runs
- Build strong vendor relationships and proactively resolve issues
Project & Accounting Support
- Support month-end activities and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records across multiple active projects
- Partner with project managers to support financial tracking and reporting
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of AR/AP or accounting coordination experience
- Experience within construction, contracting, or project-based environments is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with progress billing, holdbacks, and project accounting is considered an asset
- Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
