Westrans is seeking a skilled Air Compressor and Steering Gear Rebuilder to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills with hands on experience. This role involves inspecting, disassembling, rebuilding and testing components to ensure they meet factory performance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect components to determine repair and rebuild requirements
- Disassemble units and thoroughly clean all parts
- Replace defective components to factory specifications
- Reassemble units according to precise standards
- Operate diagnostic and test equipment to locate faults
- Ensure rebuilt components meet or exceed performance quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in small engine repair
- Proven experience in mechanical troubleshooting
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
