Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Event Coordinator to lead the planning, organization, and execution of a wide variety of events. As an Event Coordinator, you will collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure every event runs seamlessly from start to finish. Your energy and organizational prowess will help elevate our events and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, décor, and logistics
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and requirements, providing expert guidance and suggestions
- Manage vendor negotiations to secure the best services within budget while maintaining high-quality standards
- Oversee event setup and breakdown to ensure timely and smooth execution
- Handle guest services on-site, ensuring attendees have a positive experience and any issues are promptly addressed
- Develop detailed timelines and checklists to keep all team members aligned and on schedule
- Monitor budgets closely, track expenses, and identify opportunities for upselling additional services or upgrades
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event planning, hospitality, or related fields such as restaurant or hotel operations
- Strong marketing skills to promote events effectively and attract attendees
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Skilled in negotiation and upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills to juggle multiple events simultaneously
- Proficiency in budgeting, vendor management, and contract negotiations
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors, guests, and team members confidently
- Prior experience in restaurant or hotel environments is highly desirable; hospitality background is a plus
Pay: $62,000.00 per year
