Askew’s Foods is a locally owned, family-run grocery business with nearly 100 years of history serving the Shuswap and North Okanagan region. With five stores and a strong community presence, we are known for quality products, great service, and local engagement.
We’re looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager to help coordinate and execute marketing initiatives across all locations.
About the Role
This role combines retail marketing, digital marketing, community engagement and creative execution. You’ll work closely with store managers to support promotions, improve consistency, and strengthen the Askew’s brand across all stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate marketing campaigns and promotions across all stores
- Manage and update the company website (flyers, promotions, store info)
- Coordinate advertising (radio, newspaper, community media)
- Design or oversee in-store signage and promotional materials
- Manage email marketing campaigns and support social media
- Visit stores regularly to support promotions and create content
- Coordinate community events, sponsorships, and local partnerships
- Ensure consistent branding across all locations
- Review campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement
What You Bring
- 4+ years of marketing experience (retail or grocery experience is an asset)
- Experience in building and managing websites
- Experience with advertising (radio, print, or local media)
- Strong skills in graphic design (Canva, Adobe, etc.)
- Experience with email marketing and social media
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, multi-location retail environment
