Company is seeking an Entry Level Drafter in our Calgary, AB office to provide estimating and administrative support to the Project Management teams·

- Experience with AutoCAD is preferred
- Possess good verbal, written, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- Initiative to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Qualified candidates should have some experience reading structural and architectural drawings
- Team Player
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or certification in drafting, engineering technology, or related field (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in structural steel drafting
- Experience in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar drafting software
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:
- Complete administrative tasks and manage documentation associated with specific projects.
- Carry out cost estimates and complete proposals for new opportunities.
- Issue work orders to the manufacturing team & track manufacturing progress.
- Treat all customers, internal and external, with respect, courtesy and integrity.
- Maintain effective relations with the project management and manufacturing teams through an excellent attitude, good knowledge, efficient work practices and proper documentation.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
