Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Indian Line Cook to join our team in a south Indian Restaurant. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in preparing a variety of Indian dishes, such as curries, tandoori items, and biryanis. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have knowledge of food safety and sanitation, and be able to multitask effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items with consistency and accuracy
- Follow recipes and specifications to ensure consistent quality of dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, wiping down surfaces, and sweeping and mopping floors
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Communicate effectively with the team and work collaboratively to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine and spices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Good to have some equivalent experience
Availability: 6 days/week
