Overview
Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, Events Chef and Sous Chef, this position is responsible for ensuring the availability of clean dishes by washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware. These tasks must be carried out while prioritizing all food safety regulations and procedures.
Role and Responsibilities
- Washing of soiled plates and flatware, as well as machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as pots and pans, mixers and other kitchen tools.
- Restock items, unloading delivery trucks, emptying and cleaning trash receptacles.
- Sweep and mop floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.
- Help to prepare simple items and support other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Educational & Experience Requirements
- No experience necessary; considered an asset.
- Food handler’s certificate an asset.
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 15 years of age at start date as per OHSA.

- Dependable: Must be punctual, reliable, energetic individuals who can work in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Organization: Must be able to easily access and store many types of information on a daily basis.
- Multitasking: Must be able to prioritize and execute multiple tasks while maintaining sanitary and safe environment.
- Adaptability: Able to accept changing conditions and new information in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical: Must be able to use kitchen equipment, will be required to work long periods without rest, occasionally lift or move objects over 50LBS.
Schedule Requirements
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $18.00-$18.75
- Included in our controlled tip system.
