Title: Automotive Damage Appraiser / Estimator / Service Advisor / Body Shop
Body Shop Estimator or Mechanical Service Advisor
This position is for a person who has an appreciation for cars and is eager to become an expert damage evaluator/appraiser or mechanical service advisor. This position requires an above average computer skill level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initial Assessment: A repair expert or estimator visually inspects the vehicle—or reviews photos—to assess damage to body, structure, and paint.
- Create repair estimates: Write estimates via Mitchell/Qapter according to industry standards and the manufacturer’s specifications, while achieving company’s profit benchmarks.
- DRP Insurance Programs: Learn and understand the claims processes and the Direct Repair Procedures for each DRP insurance agreement.
- Itemized Costs: The estimate breaks down costs for parts, labor hours, and materials needed to return the vehicle to its pre-accident condition.
- Repair Timeline: Provides an estimated timeframe for how long the repairs will take.
- Manage Repairs: Manage the repair process such as worksheets, parts ordering, and communication with customers and insurance companies using the management software.
- Final Bill: A preliminary estimate is a "best guess" based on visible damage, and may change if hidden, internal damage is found later.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
The right candidate must be able to deal with sales, customer service, work quality, work flow and work efficiency in an effective manner. Previous experience in body shop repair via school or in a collision repair facility is NOT required.
Knowledge of car parts will help.
Have and must maintain a driver’s license.
Must be able to learn computer programs quickly and possess an above average computer skill level.
Pre-Employment Requirement:
Qualified candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, driving record and criminal background check.
Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalence.

Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
