At DC Sport Physio Clinic, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide specialized physiotherapy services focused on the assessment, treatment, and management of pelvic floor disorders across diverse patient populations. Your expertise will help improve patients' quality of life by addressing issues related to urinary, bowel, sexual health, and pelvic pain. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients experiencing pelvic floor dysfunctions, including urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, prolapse, and postpartum recovery for women and men.
- Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based physiotherapy techniques tailored to individual needs.
- Guide patients through exercises and interventions aimed at strengthening or relaxing pelvic floor muscles to restore function.
- Educate patients on pelvic health, lifestyle modifications, and self-management strategies to promote long-term wellness.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as urologists, gynecologists, obstetricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessments, treatment progress, and outcomes in compliance with clinical standards.
- Demonstrates initiative in enhancing professional development.
Skills
- Must be certified in pelvic health physiotherapy and rostered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
- Proven experience working as a licensed physiotherapist with a focus on pelvic health or related specialties.
- Experience working in a clinic is highly desirable.
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to pelvic health and general healthcare practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to speak Chinese or Hindi would be valuable asset
