On behalf of our legal client, Procom is searching for a Senior Backend Developer Analyst for a contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga, Ontario office.
Senior Backend Developer Analyst (SQL Server / Azure / .NET) - Job Description:
The Senior Backend Developer Analyst will be responsible for the design, development, enhancement, and support of enterprise legal and business applications. The role involves modernizing application integrations, improving data accessibility, and optimizing backend processing capabilities within a highly regulated environment.
Senior Backend Developer Analyst (SQL Server / Azure / .NET) - Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance enterprise backend applications utilizing C#, .NET, and SQL Server.
- Build and maintain integrations between iManage, SharePoint, Intapp, Elite, and other enterprise business systems.
- Design and develop REST APIs, web services, and middleware components supporting application interoperability.
- Create, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and database objects.
- Develop ETL processes and data integration solutions supporting reporting, analytics, and operational workflows.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
- Optimize database and application performance through indexing, query tuning, and application architecture improvements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, legal teams, and application owners to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Contribute to cloud modernization initiatives leveraging Azure services and enterprise integration patterns.
- Participate in code reviews, DevOps processes, release management, and technical documentation.
Senior Backend Developer Analyst (SQL Server / Azure / .NET) - Mandatory Skills:
- 7+ years of backend application development experience.
- Strong SQL Server expertise including T-SQL Development, Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Triggers, Query Optimization, and Database Performance Tuning.
- Strong Microsoft development stack experience: C#, .NET Framework / .NET Core, ASP.NET, REST API Development.
- Experience building integrations between enterprise applications and third-party platforms.
- Azure experience including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Logic Apps.
- Experience with source control and CI/CD using Azure DevOps and Git.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Senior Backend Developer Analyst (SQL Server / Azure / .NET) – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- iManage experience.
- Intapp experience.
- Legal industry experience.
- Azure Data Factory experience.
- Power BI integration and reporting experience.
Senior Backend Developer Analyst (SQL Server / Azure / .NET) – Assignment Length:
This is a 3 month contract position.
