Location: 10308 81 Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB. Whyte Avenue corridor.
Schedule: Part-time. Evening shifts, Thursday through Saturday. Hours to be confirmed at hire, capped before late-night peak intoxication periods. Compensation: Hourly wage plus performance-based incentive tied to tracked referral codes. Rate disclosed at interview.
Position Summary
Enigma Bar & Kitchen seeks a Brand Ambassador to represent the venue along the Whyte Avenue corridor. The role involves direct, low-pressure engagement with pedestrians to communicate Enigma's offerings: global cuisine, craft cocktails, and event/private dining capacity.
The position requires alignment with Enigma's upscale brand identity at all times. Clothing, overall appearance, and attitude MUST maintain this identity.
Responsibilities: Distribute branded promotional cards containing a trackable QR code or referral identifier. Provide brief, accurate information on menu, cocktail program, hours, and event/private dining options when asked. Maintain professional appearance and demeanor consistent with Enigma's brand standards. Disengage immediately if a pedestrian declines interaction.
Report shift-end metrics: cards distributed, verbal engagements, any incidents.
Requirements: Professional, polished presentation. Strong verbal communication skills. Ability to work outdoors in variable Edmonton weather conditions. Availability for evening shifts, Thursday through Saturday.
Completion of Enigma menu and cocktail training prior to first shift.
Comfort working in proximity to licensed-premises foot traffic.
Working Conditions: Outdoor, street-level work on Whyte Avenue. Shift end times are set to avoid late-night peak-intoxication hours. Weather-appropriate gear required.
