Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Echocardiography Sonographer to join our medical team. The successful candidate will perform high-quality echocardiographic imaging to assist in diagnosing and monitoring cardiac conditions. Responsibilities
- Conduct echocardiographic procedures, including transthoracic and transesophageal imaging, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning them appropriately, and addressing any concerns.
- Operate ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
- Document patient information, procedure details, and imaging results accurately in the medical records system.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret findings and assist in clinical decision-making.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, perform routine calibration, and report any technical issues promptly.
- Stay current with advancements in echocardiography techniques and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Certification or licensure as an Echocardiography Sonographer or Cardiovascular Technologist.
- Proven experience performing cardiac ultrasound procedures preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to cardiology and diagnostic imaging.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to comfort patients during procedures.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality imaging results.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
