Job Summary – Estimator – Custom Cabinetry & Millwork (Tendering Focus)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to lead tendering and cost analysis for luxury custom cabinetry and large-scale multi-residential projects. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for large-scale residential and multi-unit projects. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of cabinetry, custom millwork, and construction processes, along with experience managing tender submissions and deadlines. Success in this role includes delivering accurate and timely tender submissions, maintaining targets, and supporting seamless project handoff to operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for cabinetry, including materials, labor, hardware, finishes, and installation
- Develop associates SOV (Schedule of Values)
- Prepare electronic layouts, charts, detailed scale drawings, and material and equipment requirements from sketches, specifications, and standard layouts provided
- Coordinate with sales design, and project support teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility
- Prepare and submit complete tender packages within strict deadlines
- Attend pre-bid meetings as required
- Support post-award activities, including handoff to project support team
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as an estimator in custom millowrk
- Strong knowledge of kitchen cabinet construction methods, materials, and hardware
- Experience with tendering processes, particularly for commercial or multi-residential projects
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
- Excel proficiency (estimating and costing)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat (takeoffs and tender reviews)
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of 20/20 or Cabinet Vision is preferred
- Sales Force experience is an asset

Compensation:
$60,000 to $80,000 annually, dependent on experience
