Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations for our client in Whitby, ON. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing processes, and developing high-performing teams while ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency across all activities.

Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to Warehouse Supervisors and Material Handlers
- Manage daily warehouse operations with a strong hands-on approach
- Hire, train, and develop warehouse staff, fostering a high-performance culture
- Monitor daily productivity and ensure targets and budget goals are met or exceeded
- Develop and track KPIs to measure operational performance and drive improvements
- Plan and coordinate inbound shipments, including container scheduling and workforce allocation
- Schedule weekly manpower based on projected volumes and operational needs
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to improve space utilization and efficiency
- Oversee inventory processes, including cycle counts and full inventory counts, ensuring system accuracy
- Maintain documentation, reporting, and operational records
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations and company standards
- Manage and resolve escalated operational issues and incidents
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Customer Service, IT, Inventory, Logistics, and Purchasing
- Oversee building maintenance and manage external contractors
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field

Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse environment

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams

Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)

Proficiency with MS Office and AS400 systems

Valid forklift certification

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask

High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
