Salary: $65,000 – $80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
Position Summary
TWIN Equipment Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Drafting Technician to support the design, development, and production of custom truck equipment and related products. The successful candidate will prepare accurate technical drawings, collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams, and contribute to the efficient delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, revise, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software.
- Develop fabrication, assembly, and production drawings in accordance with company standards.
- Interpret engineering concepts, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Sales to ensure drawing accuracy and manufacturability.
- Assist in the design and continuous improvement of products and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain drawing revisions, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and industry standards.
- Provide technical support to production and assist in resolving design-related issues.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of drafting or design experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of mechanical drafting principles and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
