Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Cashier/Customer Service Representative to join our retail team. This role involves providing exceptional service to customers, managing transactions accurately, and promoting products through effective upselling. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be comfortable with technology sales, and have a passion for delivering a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a professional manner
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and handle cash, credit, or digital payments
- Provide product demonstrations and explain features to customers to enhance their shopping experience
- Upsell products and suggest additional items to meet customer needs and increase sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the sales floor is tidy and inviting
- Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with excellent phone etiquette
- Handle customer returns, exchanges, and resolve any issues promptly and courteously
- Keep track of inventory levels and communicate stock needs to management
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to perform product demos and engage customers effectively
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Professional appearance with good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Experience in technology sales or merchandising is advantageous but not required
