BMD Transportation is a family owned and operated asset based carrier. We are currently seeking a AZ flatbed driver to work from our Dundas and Coopers Ave, ON yard delivering customer product to locations and jobs sites throughout the Greater Golden Horseshoe area
Responsibilities:
- Operate a manual truck and 53' step deck trailer adhering to all safety requirements
- Perform inspections of tractor trailer unit before, during, and after trips, including gauges, lighting and electrical systems, and visual checks of potential water, oil, fuel and air leaks
- Completing all applicable paperwork.
- Maintain up-to-date Driver Log throughout the duration of each shift.
- Responsible for communicating with Dispatch.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and co-workers in a professional manner
- Be able to perform physical work (lifting in excess of 50lbs)
- Observe and comply with rules and regulations of the Ministry of Transportation and the Highway Traffic Act
- Secure and unsecure loads using straps and chains
Position Requirements:
- Valid A/Z driver’s license
- Minimum of 2 years verifiable tractor & flat/step driving experience
- Clean CVOR
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to accommodate different start times
- Ability to work 50+ hours/week

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
