Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Attic Insulation Specialist to join our construction team. This role involves installing, repairing, and upgrading attic insulation to improve energy efficiency and comfort for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a construction environment. Experience with caulking, hand tools, and blueprint reading is preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in home insulation and construction while contributing to sustainable building practices.
Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare attic spaces for insulation installation according to project specifications
- Use hand tools and caulking equipment to secure insulation materials properly
- Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Apply insulation materials efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Assist with minor construction tasks related to attic sealing and ventilation improvements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each project
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment at all times
Requirements
- Prior experience with caulking, hand tools, or construction is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Ability to read blueprints or technical diagrams is advantageous
- Current and valid minimum Manitoba Class 5 driver's License
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver insulation materials and tools
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Reliable transportation or access to job sites as required
- Relevant experience in home improvement or construction fields is preferred
Pay: From $18.05 per hour
