Position Summary
The Delivery Driver & Warehouse Worker will be responsible for transporting materials, tools, and equipment between our warehouse, suppliers, job sites, and other locations. When not making deliveries, the successful candidate will assist with warehouse operations, including receiving, organizing, loading, unloading, and maintaining construction materials and equipment.
This role requires someone who is comfortable with physical work, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and operating in an active construction environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery & Driving
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Load and secure materials properly before transportation.
- Complete deliveries and pickups according to established schedules.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials at the warehouse, supplier locations, and job sites.
- Verify delivery quantities and materials against orders and delivery documentation.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain required signatures or documentation.
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Keep company vehicles clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Follow all applicable traffic laws, company policies, and workplace safety requirements.
Warehouse Operations
- Receive, unload, inspect, and organize incoming materials and supplies.
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for upcoming construction and demolition projects.
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse and yard.
- Load trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
- Track inventory and report shortages, damaged materials, or missing equipment.
- Assist with organizing tools and equipment returned from job sites.
- Ensure materials and equipment are stored safely and appropriately.
- Assist with general warehouse maintenance and housekeeping.
Construction & Demolition Support
- Assist construction and demolition crews with material handling and job-site support as required.
- Move construction materials, debris, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with site cleanup and maintaining safe work areas.
- Follow instructions from site supervisors and project managers.
- Assist with other labour duties as required.
Qualifications
- Valid G driver's licence with a clean or satisfactory driving record.
- AZ OR DZ preffered
- Previous delivery, warehouse, construction, demolition, landscaping, or general labour experience is an asset.
- Experience operating a pickup truck, cargo van, cube van, or similar company vehicle.
- Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials and equipment.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in physically demanding environments.
- Strong attention to safety and ability to follow procedures.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
