About Fairview Investments Limited
Fairview Investments Limited is an established real estate developer based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. We are currently accepting applications for the position of Flagperson to join our construction team for the construction season.

Responsibilities
As a Flagperson, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe work zone for workers, motorists, and pedestrians. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Direct and control traffic through construction work zones using stop/slow paddles and hand signals.
- Set up, inspect, maintain, and remove traffic control devices and signage.
- Communicate effectively with equipment operators, truck drivers, supervisors, and fellow crew members.
- Monitor traffic flow and adjust traffic control as required to maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure pedestrians can safely navigate around work zones.
- Remain alert to changing site conditions and potential hazards.
- Follow all company health and safety policies, procedures, and applicable traffic control regulations.
- Assist with general labour duties when traffic control responsibilities permit.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Flagperson or in traffic control is considered an asset.
- Valid Flagperson/Traffic Control Person certification is preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Dependable, reliable, and punctual.
- High attention to safety and situational awareness.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are considered assets.
