Medigroup Health Centre is looking for a committed and motivated Medical Office Assistant for a temporary position until September 2026, with possiblility for extension. An ideal candidate is someone who can excel in a high pressure and traffic medical facility. Our tight-knit team works hard to ensure patients are being looked after promptly and efficiently, providing patients a positive experience every time they walk through our doors.
The Cardiology department is a very hands-on department with many diagnostic tests conducted by the administrative team. A successful candidate would be someone who loves to multi-task, always be on their toes ready for the next task, and has the quality of an independent worker, and also efficiently works well in a team. Daily tasks of a Cardio MOA includes, but is not limited to:
· Patient registration and scheduling
· Addressing incoming/outgoing phone calls, relaying confidential messages to physicians
· Handling faxed or scanned correspondences
· Ushering patients to exam rooms, taking necessary vitals and conducting diagnostic testing
· Maintaining the cleanliness of office with proper sanitization protocols
· Maintaining strict confidentiality according to PHIA standards
Preferred Skills:
· Accuro QHR experience
· Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) Certification
· Good knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviation
· Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, working in a fast-paced environment
· Able to work efficiently individually and within a team setting
· Professionalism with verbal and written communications with colleagues/physicians, and patients
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
