- Support the planning, design, optimization, and efficient operation of Company energy supply and demand systems through the development and maintenance of an Energy Management System aligned with industry best practices.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities to improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across Company operations through energy assessments and performance monitoring.
- Coordinate energy management initiatives, project assessments, and efficiency programs with internal stakeholders, BC Hydro, and other relevant partners to support continuous improvement.
- Track, analyze, and report on energy consumption, key performance indicators, and energy performance trends, providing recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce energy-related costs.
- Promote energy and GHG management awareness throughout the Company and collaborate with Environmental and Sustainability teams to support GHG reporting, compliance, and sustainability objectives.
- Minimum five years of experience in energy management, preferably within the mining, industrial, or natural resources sector;
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field;
- Demonstrated technical writing and report preparation skills;
- Experience with ISO 50001 and/or a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation would be considered an asset; and
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Experience in the mining or natural resource industry is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of energy and utility measurement units and conversion methodologies;
- Knowledge of energy management principles and industry best practices;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to interpret and analyze technical and operational data; and
- Demonstrated ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis

Specifically for the Water Operations Supervisor, we offer an annual base salary range of $110,00.00 - $132,000.00, along with a variety of bonuses. These bonuses include monthly efficiency bonuses linked to safety and production, quarterly retention bonuses, and a performance bonus tailored to reward your contributions. Our benefits package also includes paid vacation and personal days, 7% RRSP matching, and 100% employer-paid extended health and dental care, among other valuable perks.
