About the role:
We are actively seeking a Training Coordinator to support the safe and compliant execution of Côté Gold’s site training system by coordinating, maintaining, and continuously improving role-based training, competency, and compliance programs. The role works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Processing, Health and Safety, HR, contractors, trainers, signing authorities, and subject matter experts to ensure training requirements are clearly defined, scheduled, delivered, documented, and followed up.
This role is located at the Côté Gold Mine Site on a 14 on, 14 off schedule. The Training Coordinator supports the full training lifecycle, including training needs assessments, training matrix maintenance, course scheduling, training material coordination, LMS administration, competency documentation, audit-ready recordkeeping, and follow-up on training deficiencies. The role also supports Common Core and modular training administration, trainer coordination, contractor and employee training readiness, and continuous improvement of site training processes.
Responsibilities:-
Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of site training matrices by role, department, equipment, task, legislative requirement, and site standard, ensuring updates are coordinated with the appropriate operational leaders, subject matter experts, and signing authorities.

Coordinate and monitor Common Core, Supervisor Common Core, modular training, site orientation, equipment authorization, refresher training, and other mandatory programs as applicable.

Support accurate, audit-ready training records by ensuring training documentation, competency evidence, expiry dates, refresher requirements, and outstanding deficiencies are recorded, tracked, and communicated for follow-up.

Act as a key LMS/data integrity resource by ensuring training assignments, completions, expiries, equivalencies, and reports are accurate and usable for operational decision-making.

Provide regular training compliance reports to supervisors, superintendents, department leaders, and the Training Superintendent, including overdue items, upcoming expiries, training gaps, and risks.

Support the coordination of training priorities by working with Training Supervisors, operational leaders, and other stakeholders to track training needs, scheduling requirements, workforce movement, onboarding, role changes, contractor mobilization, and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with trainers, signing authorities, subject matter experts, Training Supervisors, and operational stakeholders to support the completion and documentation of workplace observations, competency validations, and outstanding training requirements.

Support the development, revision, and document control of training materials, including lesson plans, assessment tools, OJT checklists, work instructions, sign-off forms, and refresher content.

Identify process gaps in the training system and recommend improvements to strengthen compliance, operational readiness, and workforce competency.
Support contractor training readiness where required, including site access training, role-specific requirements, documentation follow-up, and alignment with contractor management processes.
Qualifications
Key Skills & Knowledge:-
College diploma in a related field.

Train-the-Trainer accreditation.
-
Strong working knowledge of role-based training, OJT documentation, practical assessments, refresher cycles, and training compliance reporting.
Relevant Experience:-
A minimum of 5 years of of experience in mining, heavy industry, construction, processing, maintenance, or another safety-sensitive industrial environment.

Experience supporting training coordination, training administration, training records, LMS data management, training matrices, competency documentation, or compliance reporting in an operational environment.
-
Experience working with operational leaders, trainers, subject matter experts, contractors, and/or regulatory training requirements would be considered an asset.

Experience with Ontario mining training requirements, Common Core, modular training, Supervisor Common Core, or equivalent competency-based training systems would be considered an asset.

Experience using Cognibox, NORCAT, Safe Contractor, Safe Employee, Oracle LMS, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, or similar training/compliance systems would be considered an asset.
Skills & Strengths, We Value:-

Highly detail-oriented, with experience managing training records, LMS updates, training matrices, and tracking requirements and expiries.

Salary Range: $ 89,000-133,500
